The 14th class of Sheetz Fellows was inducted during a formal ceremony on March 1. A competitive academic program, the Sheetz Fellows offers unique opportunities that aim to ignite and inspire the entrepreneurial mindset of students at Penn State Altoona by fostering critical thinking, ingenuity, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Penn State Altoona, supported by the Office of Research and Engagement, will hold the spring 2022 Student Showcase on Friday, April 29. The showcase highlights work by students in the Division of Business, Engineering, and Information Sciences and Technology.
Students enrolled in Spanish, French, German and Arabic classes conducted more than 1,000 one-on-one conversations through live video chats with native speakers living in countries where these languages are spoken.
The program combines study abroad with undergraduate research in environmental sustainability. Penn State faculty, staff and students will conduct a field practicum in Romania on the Danube Delta in summer 2022.
Students enrolled in English 487W offered senior seminar presentations on Thursday, Dec. 9, focused on the theme of “Rhetoric and Literature of Social Movements and Social Change.”
See firsthand how Penn State Altoona students are using knowledge from the classroom to enhance many organizations’ operations, products and services. Students will present in the areas of business, electro-mechanical engineering technology, security and risk analysis, and entrepreneurship.
